Marián Alvarez is simply
heartbreaking as a young
woman fighting for her true
love's life in this emotionally
honest melodrama from firsttime
director Roser Aguilar.
Though they haven't
been together long, Raquel
(Álvarez) and Tomás (Juan
Sanz) are the perfect couple.
He's an athlete and she's a
journalist whose career has
just jump-started now that
she has got an interesting
job in radio. When Raquel
was a little girl she could not
understand why everyone
talked constantly about love
on the radio, on television, on
Saturday afternoon films and
especially in songs. She always
wondered what would happen
if she didn't find anyone who
would love her. And suddenly,
fate plays a nasty joke on
them: Tomás has a liver
condition and is in need for a
transplant. It is quite easy to
love when the wind blows in
favour, but what about when it
blows against?
