Double crosses abound in
this fast-moving and wickedly
funny thriller from first-time
director Felipe Martinez, set in
contemporary Bogotá City.
Just a year ago Nicolas
(Federico Lorusso) was a
successful photographer
working for an entertainment
magazine and living with his
girlfriend Margarita (Catalina
Aristizábal). Everything was
working fine until the day he
caught her in a compromising
situation with Pablo (Víctor
Mallarino), his boss and owner
of the magazine. At that
moment he lost Margarita, his
house and also his job.
Swearing revenge, and
armed with pictures of Pablo's
infidelity, he attempts blackmail
only to find the tables turned:
Pablo wants him to murder
Margarita.
Martínez is an astute
filmmaker who weaves a
tangled web of comic intrigue
and darkly clever twists into this
story, injecting the clichés of the
thriller genre with new vigour
and a film noir spin.
