THE SUICIDES'S CLUB
EL CLUB DE LOS SUICIDAS

Loosely based on the short stories of Robert Louis Stevenson, the blackly humorous Suicides' Club is the third feature from Roberto Santiago (The Longest Penalty In The World ).
The film portrays the mishaps of a frustrated group of people who have each tried to commit suicide one way or another but without any luck, and who now meet for group therapy (sort of like AA). During one session, they end up talking about Stevenson's story 'The Suicides Club', and suddenly they see the light and decide to imitate the heroes on the novel, realizing that assisted suicide could prove a lucrative business. However, the great difference is that they are not in London on the 19th Century but in Madrid, 2007!
Starring the stunning Lucia Jimenez (The Kovac Box) and hilarious TV megastar Fernando Tejero, Suicides' Club was one of the biggest hits at the 2007 Spanish Box Office - rocketing to number one.
